1. 100% Local Philosophy (Privacy by Design)

JustShows is designed with absolute privacy in mind. All your tracking data (watchlist, watched episodes, rewatch counts, preferences) is stored strictly on your local device using local storage (IndexedDB / SQLite).

We operate no user database servers, require no account creation, and collect zero email addresses or telemetry data.

2. Third-Party Data & APIs

TV show metadata (titles, overviews, release dates, artwork) is sourced from the public TVMaze API. Anonymous network requests are made directly between your device and TVMaze servers during searches or syncs.

3. Local Notifications

Episode release reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No remote push notification tokens or device identifiers are sent to third-party servers.

4. Advertising & GDPR Compliance

JustShows provides a free experience without paywalls. Future versions may display unobtrusive banner ads (Google AdMob) in full compliance with GDPR and Apple ATT guidelines. You maintain total control over your ad personalization settings in the app Profile screen.

5. Your Rights & Data Portability

You can export all your watchlist data in standard JSON format anytime or permanently erase it by uninstalling the application.
