The Story Behind My Teddy Stories
Dare to create without limits!
The Origins: A Dad, a Little Girl, and Poulpi
It all started in 2023. I'm the happy father of a 2-year-old girl who loves reading books, always accompanied by her inseparable plush toy: Poulpi. As an engineer and developer, I started looking closely at the rise of Artificial Intelligence. Very quickly, my wife and I had an idea: what if we used AI to create stories where Poulpi was the hero? While writing was easy for us, drawing was much harder. The project was put on hold, but the idea stayed in the back of my mind.
The Spark and the Vision
December 2024. AI has taken a giant leap. I tinkered with a first prototype and the result was magical: the illustrations were beautiful and the hero remained consistent! Seeing my daughter's eyes light up, I thought: "If she loves it, other kids will love it too!". The ambition of My Teddy Stories was born: to give children the desire to dream and read. Now a father of two little girls, my ambition is to build a safe digital environment with tools that adapt to children's development and grow right alongside them.
Limitless Imagination
"One day, my eldest daughter said: "I want to fall in the water with Poulpi, find a treasure chest, and end up in the clouds to go to a big castle!" It's completely crazy, but so much fun! This is exactly the kind of wacky story you won't find in any standard book. That is the beauty of this project: giving power back to the boundless imagination of children."
Who is behind the screen?
Jérémy Bounan • Dad, Solo Creator & Developer
I am a software engineer, but above all, I am the proud father of two incredible little girls. I designed, coded, and deployed this entire platform single-handedly: from the Cloud infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence algorithms to the mobile apps.
My Teddy Stories isn't built by a faceless corporation. It’s a passion project, born from a dad wanting to bring magic to his kids, and I am thrilled to share it with your family today. Every piece of feedback, every bug reported—it's me reading it and fixing it at night when my daughters are asleep!
