1. About My Teddy Stories

My Teddy Stories is a platform that allows adults to generate custom illustrated digital books using Artificial Intelligence. By using this Service, you agree to these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Aix-en-Provence, except that if you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. The Children's Section

My Teddy Stories includes a dedicated section where children can read stories that have been generated by their parent or guardian. Access to all account features — including story creation, data input, and credit management — is restricted by a parental gate that children cannot bypass. No personal data is collected from children. Any data processed through the Service is submitted exclusively by the adult account holder.

If you allow a child to access the reading section of the Service, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you have reviewed the content made available to them.

4. Ink Drops

  • Earning and Purchasing Ink Drops — Generating books requires Ink Drops. Ink Drops can be earned by watching advertisements or purchased via Ink packs at prices displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Ink Drops Expiry — Ink drops never expire as long as your account remains active.
  • Price Changes — We reserve the right to change the price of Ink packs at any time. Changes do not affect Ink Drops you have already purchased.
  • Ink Drops Value — Ink Drops have no monetary value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Service Discontinuation — In the event that we permanently discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice and offer a pro-rata refund on unused purchased Ink Drops. Ad-earned Ink Drops are not eligible for refund.

5. Refunds

  • Automatic Detection — Our system automatically detects generation failures due to technical errors within 15 minutes of the incident. When a failure is detected, you will be notified and may request either an Ink Drop refund or a retry directly from your Bookshelf at any time — no time limit applies to failures that have been automatically detected.
  • Undetected Failures — In the rare event that a technical failure is not automatically detected, you may report it by contacting us from the contact form available at www.myteddystories.com/contact. We will investigate and, if a technical error on our part is confirmed, restore the Ink Drops consumed.

We do not restore Ink Drops for dissatisfaction with the AI's creative output. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.

5b. Refunds on Ink Drop Pack Purchases

  • Right of Withdrawal — When you purchase an Ink Drop pack, Ink Drops are made available in your account immediately. By completing a purchase, you explicitly acknowledge that performance of the contract begins immediately and that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.
  • Unused Packs — If no Ink Drops from a purchased pack have been used, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us from the contact form available at www.myteddystories.com/contact.
  • Partially or Fully Used Packs — Because paid Ink Drops are consumed first, once any Ink Drops from your account have been used after purchasing a pack, that pack is no longer eligible for a refund.
  • Processing — Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Nothing in this policy affects any mandatory statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

6. AI-Generated Content

All books generated through the Service are produced by Artificial Intelligence. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, visual artifacts, or unexpected results.
  • The AI does not guarantee stylistic consistency between generations.
  • You are responsible for reviewing generated content before sharing it with children.

The European Union AI Act requires us to inform you that content you receive through this Service is AI-generated. Your use of the Service constitutes your acknowledgment of this disclosure.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Your Content — You retain ownership of any personal inputs you provide (such as names, descriptions, and uploaded images). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
  • Generated Books — Upon successful generation, you are granted a personal, non-commercial license to view the resulting book within the platform. We may in future offer the ability to download or share generated books; any such features will be subject to additional terms communicated at the time of their introduction.
  • Our Platform — All rights in the My Teddy Stories platform, including its design, software, and branding, remain our exclusive property.
  • Third-Party Intellectual Property — You agree not to request the generation of content that reproduces or imitates copyrighted characters, brands, or other protected intellectual property owned by third parties. If you believe content available on our platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at [email protected] with a description of the work, the location of the allegedly infringing content, and your contact details. We will investigate and respond promptly. We may in future offer dedicated features enabling the use of specifically licensed third-party content under separate terms that will be communicated at that time.

8. Prohibited Content

You agree not to use the Service to generate content that:

  • Is violent, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit.
  • Depicts or sexualizes minors in any way.
  • Reproduces or imitates third-party copyrighted or trademarked material.
  • Features real, identifiable individuals without their consent.
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation.

We are the sole judge of what constitutes a violation of this policy. We employ a progressive moderation system. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, actions may range from a formal warning with a refund of Ink Drops, to the forfeiture of Ink Drops used for the violating request, up to immediate account suspension or permanently banned without refund of any Credits. We reserve the right, as the sole judge, to determine the severity of a violation and apply the appropriate penalty.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

Nothing in this clause limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or via in-app notification at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version of these Terms is always available at www.myteddystories.com/terms.
